Denis Villeneuve is quickly becoming one of the top directors in the film industry today.  With such near masterpiece works like “Prisoners” and “Enemy” the director is also attached to direct the upcoming (and long awaited) “Blade Runner” sequel.  Though first he has his newest film being released in September of this year called, Sicario.  The trailer wasn’t released too long ago and it’s quickly become one of my anticipated films of the remaining year.  Reteaming with cinematographer Roger Deakins, and stars “Edge of Tomorrow” star Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, Josh Brolin, and “Walking Dead” star Jon Bernthal; this has potential Oscar written all over it (as long as the Academy doesn’t ignore it like they did for “Prisoners”).

Some new posters just hit the Internet (from  for the upcoming feature and they look excellent.  Done in the style of Loteria cards the posters really seem to capture the tone of the upcoming Mexican based feature.  Which follows an FBI agent (Emily Blunt) enlisted by the Government to help fight the war on drugs down between the border of Mexico and the United States; which will test the FBI agent’s moral compass greater than anything before it.  Sicario will be released September 18th.

  1. I went to an advanced screening of the movie a few days ago, and I actually was just able to finish uploading a review video to my channel – I think you should check it out if you’re really interested in seeing Sicario! And don’t worry, there aren’t any spoilers or anything like that. You should let me know what you think! I’m sure you’ll all love this movie.
